FORD Figo Exi Petrol vs Maruti Zen Estillo LXi?

Question

I am planning to buy one vehicle for my personal use. Stuck with the decision whether to go with Figo Exi Petrol or Zen Estillo. My concerns are
- Mileage
- Handling
- robustness.
- Maintainace
- Availability of spares.

Just before giving you the comparison of both cars .... Estilo is a flop car looking at the sales of other Maruti car and does not jave any waiting:



Mileage: Estilo mileage is more by 2/3 km per litre.

Handling: Figo is superior

Robustness:Figo is superior

Maintenance: Estilo is better,but most of the Figo parts are localised

Availability of spare parts:Both are at par.



Figo petrol main issue is its mileage otherwise a good car with good space.!!!!



Suggest to consider Wagon R , Beat or put some more money and try i10 1.2 L kappa.!!!!

Avoid Zen Estilo, though a good car but not very competent. Its a compete failure for its design. Buy it only if you are happy with its design. Overall the car is good with a peppy KB10 series engine and good for city drives.



Meanwhile I would recommend you to look at other models like the new i10 and the maruti Wagon R, which is better in terms of drive quality and dynamics. Yes mantaince wise maruti is cheaper when compared to any other brand, plus these guys have a very good dealer and service network.



I would recommend a Wagon R or a i10. Figo Petrol is not a worth buy,instead the diesel version is better in Figo. Just so that you know Ford is not that easy to maintain.

In all area you mentioned, excepting for mileage and maintenance, Ford Figo is a much superior car compared to Zen Estilo. Nowadays due to better build quality, spares are not much of an issue untile and unless you do some extreme driving.

I suggests to look further models and here you selected both is dated (estilo is a slow seller in maruti stable recently replaced the engine and done some face lifts but interior space and nimble handling still remain same. Figo is a re named old fiesta which alreadry withdrawn from all markets except in India) withdraand may withdraw any time.



Instead of these both my preference will be the all new Wagon R, it has everything and morethan what you expect from these both such as space, fuel economy, reasonably priced and above all it is a hotseller in Maruti stable so no doubt about Maintainance, spares availablity and resale value.

- Mileage - Estilo is better than Figo

- Handling - Figo is much better than Estilo

- robustness - Figo is very tough, when compared to the likes of Estilo.

- Maintainace - Estilo is cheaper to maintain... but Figo will require lesser maintaince!

- Availability of spares - Estilo and Figo both will not give you any problem with spare parts... though Figo's spare parts will be little costlier...



On the whole Figo is better.... However, I would recommend that you opt for i10 (if you are only looking for a petrol variant).
